15 Micro habits that help with parenting & your household

Your habits play a major role in the way your home is kept. If you do a little each day, then your will be much easier to manage. When the chores tend to pile up, it’s important to get back on track as fast as you can so that the craziness doesn’t get overwhelming.

Here are some micro habits that will help the function and maintenance of your home. If you do them often, then they shouldn’t take too long. And remember, your family should help with the chores as well.

1. Make your bed daily
2. Wash a load at night and dry in the am
3. Run the dishwasher at night & unload in the am
4. set a 10 minute timer & pick up as much as you can
5. Prep what you need for the next day
6. Meal plan every Sunday
7. Pick a grocery shopping day
8. Keep a family calendar
9. Post a chore chart
10. Do a reset every night
11. Teach the kids to make checklists
12. Declutter & donate often
13. Get trash & boxes out asap
14. Have an assigned spot for everything
15. Set aside 15-20 minutes each day for you

When you stay on top of the tasks, your home will run better. You’ll feel so much better, and your home will look better too. The key is doing a little bit each day so that you don’t have to do A LOT later.
